Green IT Your Work

Green IT Your Work

Green IT Your Work appeared as a civic response to the COVID-19 crisis, tackling the role of the youth in the green transition, and contributing toward a greener Europe. The project was written under the CERV Programme, specifically the call for proposals for Town-Twinning and Networks of Towns. The consortium is made up of 8 European Cities – Bucharest, Fingal, Agia, Lefkosia, Alicante, Kocevje, Pregrada, Sacile – which are going to share their experiences, and best practices throughout the 24 months of the project, focusing on dialogue, debate and joint reflection.

During the 8 international meetings, this initiative will encourage discussion, prosocial behavior, debate, young reflection, and involvement in decision-making on the green transition in Europe, through conferences, workshops, open discussions, debates, but also some alternative and more dynamic activity to create a stimulating environment: role-playing games, creative LAB, cinema-open forums, geocaching, photo tour, etc.

In addition, in each of the participating cities, work groups and dissemination activities will be created at the local and regional level, which will help spread the messages generated by the network.

Following the discussions, a role-playing game to reflect on green transition took place in the form of forum theatre, coordinated by the same trainer, with input from the consortium, as well as the participants. The youth had the opportunity to use non-formal activities in order to share their ideas and perspectives, getting in the depths of the subjects approached, and working together towards effective solutions.
